Although I’ve done lake 22 many times, today was a very special trip to the lake. It was my first hike of the season with my Dad! Lake 22 is one of my favorite go-to hikes. You really seem to get it all, old growth forest, waterfalls, mountain views, and topping it all off with a beautiful alpine lake. However, over the years it has become more and more popular so finding a time to go without crowds is next to impossible.
The day started out gray and misty with some low hanging fog. We thought the sun would eventually break through but the clouds were stubborn and never budged. We could barely even see the lake once we got there, but it was still beautiful in it’s own way.
I really could have cared less what the weather was like that day, all that mattered was that I got to spend it with my dad.
